Western Reserve is 9-1 against South Central since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Western Reserve Roughriders will head out on the road to face off against the South Central Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Western Reserve ended up a good deal behind Keystone and lost 55-39.
Meanwhile, South Central had to suffer through a rough 76-28 loss at the hands of Crestview. South Central has not had much luck with Crestview recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
South Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bryan Chaffee, who scored 8 points, and Trey Knoll who scored 10 points. Chaffee scored a full 28.6% of South Central's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunner Ray, who scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds.
Western Reserve's win lifted them to 1-2 while Keystone's defeat dropped them down to 1-3.
Western Reserve came out on top in a nail-biter against South Central when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 46-43. Will Western Reserve repeat their success, or does South Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
