Trinidad are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Center on Friday at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Trinidad now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
There's no need to mince words: Trinidad lost to Texhoma last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 8-52. Trinidad's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Matt Martinez, who rushed for 71 yards and 1 touchdown. In fact, with 9 tackles Martinez was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-49, which was the final score in Center's tilt against Olathe. Center were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
