Drew Davis posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. The effort also marked the fewest hits (zero) he has had since back in February.

Davis' effort led Sumrall over Columbia and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sumrall is a perfect 10-0 against Columbia going back to March of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
