The La Salle Lancers are taking a road trip to take on the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. La Salle will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
La Salle can't be too worried about heading out to take on St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy: they just beat Rio Hondo Prep at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Lancers walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Kares on Saturday.
Havana Pagan made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Pagan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Aria Davis was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing a base while going 5-for-5. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jessica Young, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
La Salle kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 15-4 to St. Genevieve.
Brianna Cibrian made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Julissa Perez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
La Salle's record now sits at 12-4. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. La Salle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .537. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went La Salle's way against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as La Salle made off with a 24-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
