Spencer put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. Everything came up roses for them against Le Mars as the team secured a 41-6 win. The Spencer offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
Meanwhile, Bishop Heelan Catholic might be getting used to good results now that the squad has three wins in a row. They took their match against Storm Lake by a conclusive 31-6 score. 31 seems to be a good number for Bishop Heelan Catholic as the squad scooped up a victory with the same point total in their match two weeks ago against Le Mars.
Their wins bumped Bishop Heelan Catholic to 7-1 and Spencer to 6-2. With both Bishop Heelan Catholic and Spencer swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
