The Carlin Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by Owyhee on the road and fell 41-11. Carlin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-3.
Carlin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Owyhee, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Carlin is on the road again on Thursday and plays Wells at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Carlin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Owyhee, they will be playing at home against McDermitt at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Owyhee is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
