After two games on the road, Brewer is heading back home. They will take on the West Point Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 99-61, which was the final score in Brewer's tilt against Russellville on Friday. Brewer was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-24.
Cason Oden put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Frazier, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for West Point at home against Pennington on Saturday as the squad secured a 68-29 victory. The victory was just what West Point needed coming off of a 88-67 defeat in their prior matchup.
Brewer bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for West Point, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Brewer skirted past West Point 47-44 when the teams last played back in January. Will Brewer repeat their success, or does West Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
