Wray unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell  59-49 to the Yuma Outlaws on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Outlaws recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

  Brody Sheffield was a one-man wrecking crew for Yuma as he  earned 23 points plus seven  rebounds and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jonathan Thomson, who  posted 12 points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 The  victory was  the eighth in a row (dating back to last season) for Yuma, bringing their record for this year to 2-0.
 Wray has already played their next matchup,  a  43-40  win against Merino on the 7th. As for Yuma, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  66-62  victory against The Vanguard School on the 7th.
