Wells  took care of business in their home opener  (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against Nokomis as they made off with  a  32-12 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Wells' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Maine football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Nokomis is ranked 41st).
Wells got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Noah McDonough out in front who threw for 67 yards and two  TDs on only five passes, and also punched in one  score on the ground. Wells' leading receiver  Darion Lemont was  McDonough's top target yet again, picking up 67 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Wells was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 325  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nokomis only  rushed for 157  rushing yards.
 When it comes to explaining why Nokomis lost, don't look at  Seth Bowden. Despite the final result, he rushed for 84 yards and one  score.
