Windham is 8-2 against Cheverus since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will challenge the Stags at 10:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Windham sitting on seven straight wins and Cheverus on 18 (dating back to last season).
On Thursday, Windham made easy work of Westbrook and carried off a 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Kennedy Kimball was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Oakley McLeod was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Addison Caiazzo was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Windham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westbrook only posted an OBP of .217.
Meanwhile, Cheverus beat Bonny Eagle 5-2 on Wednesday.
Addison DeRoche spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on zero hits and racked up 17 Ks.
Cheverus' win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Windham, their record now sits at 11-1.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Windham hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .414. However, it's not like Cheverus struggles in that department as they've averaged .426. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Windham came up short against Cheverus in their previous matchup on May 12th, falling 6-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
