Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Polytech walked away with it. Everything went their way against Glasgow on Friday as Polytech made off with a 28-6 win. Polytech might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 22 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Wilmington Charter had just enough and edged St. Elizabeth out 10-8 on Saturday.
Wilmington Charter got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brady harach out in front who gained 178 total yards. John Foley and his 100 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Wilmington Charter's victory.
The team's defense also helped out by holding St. Elizabeth to a paltry 153 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Wilmington Charter's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Bobby Cardone and his two sacks.
Polytech's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Wilmington Charter, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
