After a string of seven wins, the Christ the King Gladiators's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost to Ida Crown Jewish Academy at home by a decisive 47-30 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Christ the King of the 46-33 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Ilana Schwartz, who scored 24 points for Ida Crown Jewish Academy. That makes it three consecutive games in which Schwartz has scored at least a third of Ida Crown Jewish Academy's points. Daria Lennon was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Christ the King's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-8. As for Ida Crown Jewish Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Christ the King does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ida Crown Jewish Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
