The Fort Hancock Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season. They really took it to Loving for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-23 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Fort Hancock sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Alessandra Jimenez was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 22 points, 17 rebounds, and ten assists. The contest was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackeline Arriaga, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jozette Lyon-smith, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds. Lyon-smith hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Rodriquez, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Fort Hancock's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Loving, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
