The Seekonk Warriors lost against the Bourne Canalmen back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Seekonk was dealt a 76-49 defeat at the hands of Bourne. While losing is never fun, Seekonk can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Bourne is ranked ninth).
Despite the loss, Seekonk still got an impressive performance from Noah Beausoleil, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Beausoleil's third in a row with at least ten points. Declan Lush was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Seekonk's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4. As for Bourne, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seekonk will take on Old Rochester Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Old Rochester Regional has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 345 points over their last five games. As for Bourne, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 6:30 p.m. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional and Bourne are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
