The Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish won the last time they faced the Kettering Captains, and things went their way on Friday too. Notre Dame Prep sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 win over Kettering.
Notre Dame Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jazelle Yaldo out in front who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yaldo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Whalen, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Notre Dame Prep has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Kettering, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Prep will take on Mott at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kettering, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Walled Lake Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Walled Lake Central is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
