If the Lutheran Mustangs were riding high off their 43-15 takedown of the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats back in January, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lutheran took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Christian School at Castle Hills on Friday. Lutheran was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as The Christian School at Castle Hills apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
The Christian School at Castle Hills was led to victory by Lexie Criner and Peyton Brown. Criner scored ten points along with five steals, while Brown dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Brown is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Jordyn Russell was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for The Christian School at Castle Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record this season.
Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. The Christian School at Castle Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
