The Fredericksburg Billies typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Davenport Wolves proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Billies 53-39. The win made it back-to-back wins for Davenport.
Davenport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Rios led the charge by scoring 16 points along with three steals. Rios continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Carson Bloess, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Davenport pushed their record up to 18-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Fredericksburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bandera the next time they take the court. Fredericksburg will head out to face Bandera at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Davenport will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
