Jamiya Duhart was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Duhart was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Glendalys Harvey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August of 2024. Ariya Lee was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs.
Monroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .632. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Monroe's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 6-11. As for Dougherty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
