Crescent has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The Crescent Loggers and the Clallam Bay Bruins will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Clallam Bay took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Crescent, who comes in off a win.
Crescent stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 74-17 win over Chief Kitsap Academy at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Crescent has posted since December 14, 2023.
It was another big night for Lukas Love, who scored 32 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dominiq Sprague, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Clallam Bay has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were beaten by Neah Bay 64-30 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Clallam Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Neah Bay is ranked 111th).
Crescent pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.2 points. As for Clallam Bay, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season.
Everything went Crescent's way against Clallam Bay in their previous meeting on Tuesday as Crescent made off with a 60-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crescent since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
