It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Addison had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Ragland Purple Devils, posting a 71-39 win. Addison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Hammack, who rushed for 115 yards and four TDs on only 11 carries. Those 115 rushing yards gave Hammack a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijah Roberts, who rushed for 76 yards and one score on only six carries.
Several Purple Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was A'Ron Lee, who rushed for 203 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also caught one TD. Lee also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making three total tackles (1.0 for loss). Tre Bothwell was another key player, gaining 109 total yards and two touchdowns.
The win (which was Addison's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.4 points over those games. As for Ragland, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Addison wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 39-6 win against Berry on the 14th. Ragland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
