Hopewell-Loudon has gone a perfect 3-0 against Arcadia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chieftains will head out on the road to face off against the Redskins at 5:00 p.m. Hopewell-Loudon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Hopewell-Loudon barely beat Woodmore the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chieftains blew past the Wildcats 11-3 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.
Austin Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hopewell-Loudon got a massive performance out of Jack Colatruglio, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four hits gave Colatruglio a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Daniel, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hopewell-Loudon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Arcadia fell victim to Bluffton and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Hopewell-Loudon, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
Arcadia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hopewell-Loudon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. It's a different story for Arcadia, though, as they've only averaged .343. Will they be able to contain Hopewell-Loudon's hitters?
Hopewell-Loudon skirted past Arcadia 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
