This season hasn't been kind to the Purchase Line Red Dragons, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They took a serious blow against Marion Center on Friday, falling 52-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Purchase Line has scored all season.
Purchase Line's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Stephen Perruso, who scored six points along with five rebounds, and Brandon Buterbaugh who scored six points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Buterbaugh has scored all season.
It was another big night for Noah Mccoy, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Marion Center. Mccoy also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Cameron Pack, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Purchase Line's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Marion Center, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.
Purchase Line will face off against Penns Manor at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Penns Manor has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Marion Center will be home for the holidays to greet Harmony Area at 7:10 p.m. on Monday.
