Mt. Hope has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They and the Cranston West Falcons will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Mt. Hope beat the Blue Wave 53-44. The win was just what Mt. Hope needed coming off of a 77-45 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Cranston West waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 62-53 victory over Coventry.
Mt. Hope is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-11 record this season. As for Cranston West, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Mt. Hope and the Falcons were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but the Huskies came up empty-handed after a 64-63 loss. Can Mt. Hope avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
