Baseball Recap: Othello Wins Going Away Against Quincy

Othello never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Quincy Jackrabbits. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Othello got a great performance from Aiden Garza as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Xzyyvn Martinez was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Ryan Martinez was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Othello always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Quincy only posted an OBP of .167.

Othello's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Quincy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Othello will take on Ephrata at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Huskies' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Tigers have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Quincy, they will challenge Prosser at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jackrabbits surely won't give up without a fight.
