The Bucklin Red Aces won the last time they faced the Meade Buffaloes, and things went their way on Saturday too. Bucklin walked away with a 55-47 victory over Meade.
Bucklin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sydnie Jones out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlee Evans, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meade's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dallas Sherman, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sherman continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carlie Martin, who scored nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Bucklin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Meade, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Bucklin will head out on the road to challenge Ingalls at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meade, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sublette at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
