Huntington Beach has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Edison Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Huntington Beach pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 82-66 to Los Alamitos. While losing is never fun, Huntington Beach can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Los Alamitos is ranked 26th).
Meanwhile, Edison pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Marina 68-64. Edison has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Huntington Beach bumped their record down to 14-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.
Huntington Beach came up short against Edison in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 51-45. Can Huntington Beach avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
