The Minooka Indians had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over West Aurora. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Minooka also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, West Aurora still got an impressive performance from Terrence Smith, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Minooka's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Aurora, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Minooka will square off against Sandburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Sandburg is ranked 60th, while Minooka is ranked 75th). As for West Aurora, they will head out on the road to face off against Edwardsville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Edwardsville will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
