The Tyrone Golden Eagles were the 61-58 winner over the Bishop Carroll Huskies when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Tyrone fell just short of Bishop Carroll by a score of 79-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (70), Tyrone still had to take the loss.
Bishop Carroll's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Casses, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 3 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Casses has scored at least 25% of Bishop Carroll's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Repko, who scored 24 points along with 4 steals.
Tyrone's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bishop Carroll, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tyrone will take on Bald Eagle Area at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Bedford at 7:15 p.m. Bedford and Bishop Carroll are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
