Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Paint Rock, who are still winless after their fifth contest. They were dealt a 64-21 loss at the hands of Santa Anna on Friday. Paint Rock was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.
Panther Creek bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.8 points per game. As for Paint Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Panther Creek couldn't quite finish off Paint Rock when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 2-0. Can Panther Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
