Fall River has a real challenge coming up -- the hardest it has met all year. Both it and Black Hawk have made it this far into the playoffs, but they square off this Friday at 7:00 PM to determine who is worthy to move on. Fall River might be a bit distressed seeing as how its point totals have been consistently dropping over the past three games.
Fall River won a game last week that couldn't get any closer, slipping by Wild Rose 8 - 7.
As for Black Hawk, it can now show off ten landslide victories after its most recent game. It blew past Potosi/Cassville last week 28 - 7. Senior Brody Milz deserves a lot of the credit as he ran for 164 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. This marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Milz had 100+ rushing yards.
Their wins bumped Black Hawk to 12-0 and Fall River to 10-2. Of course, Black Hawk and Fall River can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
