Sherman Oaks CES extended their winning streak to 14 on Monday, bumping their season record up to 14-0 in the process. They blew past the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers 13-2. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Araceli Altamirano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sherman Oaks CES got a massive performance out of Reagan Rosenthal, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Rosenthal has been hot, having posted three or more hits the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Block, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
