Beaufort Academy was the victim of a rough 47-25 loss at the hands of Hilton Head Prep on Friday. Beaufort Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Courtney Campbell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hilton Head Prep, almost dropping a triple-double on 27 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Campbell has scored at least 25% of Hilton Head Prep's points. Phoebe Helms was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 18 rebounds.
Beaufort Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Hilton Head Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Beaufort Academy will head out on the road to face off against John Paul II at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully John Paul II focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. Hilton Head Prep won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hammond at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Hammond is ranked 112th, while Hilton Head Prep is ranked 98th).
