James Lick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 34-23 to the San Jose Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 23- run performance marked the Comets' highest-scoring match to date.

James Lick got a massive performance out of Jada Cruz, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-5. Cruz also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mya Cuevas, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 5-for-5.

James Lick's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for San Jose, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

James Lick will face off against Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for San Jose, they have already played their next contest, a 21-11 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 4th.
