If the State College Little Lions were feeling good off their 61-37 takedown of the Williamsport Millionaires last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. State College fell 59-49 to the Trojans on Tuesday. If State College was looking for revenge after losing 52-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
State College lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aidan Angus, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Torbic, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
State College dropped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Chambersburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. State College will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Central Dauphin East is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Chambersburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Mountain Lions at 6:30 p.m. Altoona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while the Trojans are ranked 52nd).
