The Palmer Ridge Bears will be playing at home against the Vista Ridge Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmer Ridge will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Palmer Ridge put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cheyenne Mountain 54-7 at home. With Palmer Ridge ahead 47-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Derek Hester was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 61 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Holden Wright made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, Vista Ridge unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. The game between Vista Ridge and Rampart wasn't particularly close, with Vista Ridge falling 35-19.
Palmer Ridge's victory lifted them to 9-0 while Vista Ridge's loss dropped them down to 6-3.
Palmer Ridge strolled past Vista Ridge in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a score of 35-21. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Vista Ridge's Solomon Arnds-volcin, who rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns.
