The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Avon with a sharp 49-27 victory on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for Olmsted Falls who now have eight in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Avon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Molly Drenik. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Olmsted Falls pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olmsted Falls will take on Steele at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Steele will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Olmsted Falls is ranked 16th). As for Avon, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
