The Richlands Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 71-48 defeat at the hands of Heide Trask. Richlands has not had much luck with Heide Trask recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Richlands' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Caleb Simco, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals, and KeAndre Mattocks who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Heide Trask's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Brown, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 0 assists. Myron Mckoy was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Richlands' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Heide Trask, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Richlands won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pender at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. Allowing an average of 70 points per game, Pender has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Heide Trask, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Brunswick at 7:30 p.m. North Brunswick has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 379 points over their last five matches.
