The Primero Bulldogs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Manzanola 62-26 at home. That looming 62-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Primero yet this season.
Mathew Pachorek continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Kendal, who scored 14 points.
Primero's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-8. As for Manzanola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Primero will head out on the road to square off against Antonito at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Manzanola, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hanover at 4:00 p.m. on February 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Manzanola is ranked 334th, while Hanover is ranked 322nd).
