Marcus Hughes-Bey and Malik Lawal certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hughes-Bey dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Lawal scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds and 7 blocks. The match was Hughes-Bey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Michael Oginni was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 blocks.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Prosser, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chicago Mathematics & Science's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Shore Country Day at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th. As for Prosser, they will square off against Lake View at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lake View's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
