Cayden Thomas Delivers Best Performance of Season
Mitchell was led to victory by Cayden Thomas, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Thomas threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown.
Thomas must have Sunlake's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Thomas last faced the Seahawks back in October of 2023, he threw for 428 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 17.8 yards per attempt.

Big Game from Simms As Mitchell Won 49-7
Mitchell picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Corey Simms. Simms turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 161 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, while also picking up 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.
Unfortunately for Sunlake, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Simms. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Simms saw the Seahawks), he rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards.

Bryce Randolph and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Bryce Randolph was instrumental in extending Wiregrass Ranch's winning streak to eight on Friday. Randolph turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Wiregrass Ranch's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Randolph and Wiregrass Ranch will challenge River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Nathan Mcneil Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Wiregrass Ranch picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nathan Mcneil. Mcneil was dynamite, rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown. Those 117 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
On the year, Mcneil has averaged 46.4 receiving yards per game.

Bryce Backus Goes Supernova in Mitchell Win
Mitchell picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Bryce Backus. Backus turned in nothing short of a gem, picking up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Sunlake, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Backus. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Backus saw the Seahawks), he picked up 89 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
