The Lincoln Northeast Rockets suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Millard North at home and fell 86-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln Northeast has scored all season.
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marshawn Jefferson, who scored three points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Coon, who scored three points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Leading Millard North to victory were Derek Rollins and Neal Mosser. Rollins dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Mosser scored 17 points along with two steals. Rollins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Urbanek, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Lincoln Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Millard North, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Lincoln Northeast will be playing at home against Lincoln East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 246 points over their last four matches. Millard North will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Curie at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Curie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
