The Crawford County Wolfpack's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell to Salem 41-36. Crawford County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Salem apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Nash Stroud and Blake Seibert certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Stroud scored ten points along with nine rebounds, while Seibert scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Seibert scored a full 33.3% of Crawford County's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Zander Sattler was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Crawford County's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Salem, their victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.
Crawford County and Orleans will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Orleans will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Salem and Seymour will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Seymour presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Salem in Indiana (Seymour is ranked 43rd, while Salem is ranked 402nd).
