The Fife Trojans made easy work of the Jefferson Raiders on Friday and carried off a 10-1 victory. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.
Mallory Geving made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaitlin Christiansen, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Mallory Robson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Fife kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive games.
Fife's record is now 8-5. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
