The Hurricane Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight defeat. They were the victim of a tough 79-58 loss at the hands of Crimson Cliffs. Hurricane has not had much luck with Crimson Cliffs recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Hurricane lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cayleb Jackman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Jackman is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rj Hurst, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Sean Felts continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crimson Cliffs, dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Felts continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Noah Marsden, who scored 14 points.
Hurricane dropped their record down to 5-16 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Crimson Cliffs, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Hurricane will be playing in front of their home fans against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Snow Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 399 points over their last six contests. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will head out on the road to take on Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Crimson Cliffs is ranked 33rd, while Pine View is ranked 27th).
