After two games on the road, Thunder Ridge is heading back home. They will take on the Pike Valley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Thunder Ridge's 16-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Lakeside on Friday, falling 56-26.
Meanwhile, Pike Valley's and Southern Cloud co-op [Miltonvale/Glasco]'s match on Friday was close at halftime, but Pike Valley turned on the heat in the second half with 41 points. Pike Valley was the clear victor by a 64-42 margin over Southern Cloud co-op [Miltonvale/Glasco]. The win was nothing new for Pike Valley as they're now sitting on three straight.
Andrew Cooper continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Massell, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Thunder Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pike Valley, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
Thunder Ridge strolled past Pike Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 64-45. Will Thunder Ridge repeat their success, or does Pike Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
