Last Friday, Northridge was fully in charge, breezing past Wawasee 49-20 at home. Northridge's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
McClain Miller had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Brayden Clark, who threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes.
Meanwhile, NorthWood took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-14 win over South Bend Washington. NorthWood's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
NorthWood relied on the efforts of Nitro Tuggle, who picked up 61 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Landon Perry, who rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Trevor Barrett got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Northridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for NorthWood, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-2.
Northridge didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against NorthWood when the teams last played back in September, but they still walked away with a 25-21 win. Will Northridge repeat their success, or does NorthWood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
