New London-Spicer has gone 6-1 against Montevideo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Thunderhawks at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, New London-Spicer earned an 8-3 victory over Watertown-Mayer. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Andres Rojas was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rojas was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Kaden Toutges tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
Rojas wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those two triples gave Johnson a new career-high. Rylan Shimek also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Montevideo entered their tilt with Redwood Valley on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Cardinals 11-1. Considering the Thunderhawks have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Brendan Koosmann looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Brody Dack was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Gannon Reidinger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Montevideo pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for New London-Spicer, their record is now 12-7.
New London-Spicer was able to grind out a solid victory over Montevideo when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
