Hermitage has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The J.R. Tucker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Hermitage nor J.R. Tucker posted many points in their last games could muster much offensive firepower in their last games.
Last Tuesday, Hermitage and Varina were almost perfectly matched up, but Hermitage suffered an agonizing 7-6 loss. While losing is never fun, Hermitage can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Varina is ranked 14th).
Meanwhile, J.R. Tucker fell victim to Glen Allen's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Jaguars, falling 42-0. J.R. Tucker's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
The losses dropped Hermitage to 5-4 and J.R. Tucker to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Hermitage against J.R. Tucker in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-8 win. Does Hermitage have another victory up their sleeve, or will J.R. Tucker turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
