The Rancho Rams waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Palo Verde by a score of 85-76. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Rancho got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jakoi Lide out in front who scored 28 points along with five steals. R'Zha Whittle was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Rancho is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Palo Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rancho will take on the Diamondbacks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palo Verde, they will be playing at home against the Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Canyon Springs is ranked 36th, while the Panthers are ranked 27th).
