The Southmoore SaberCats posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They blew past Ponca City, posting a 75-38 win on the road. Given Southmoore's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Ponca City is ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacon Dugosh, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Northcutt, who scored eight points.
Southmoore's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Ponca City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Southmoore will be playing in front of their home fans against Choctaw at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponca City, they will face off against Western Heights at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
